I love to use watch
parts on metal book covers. Use a
Dapping Block and Punch to
make an indentation into the metal cover. Fill the indentation with some
Diamond Glaze (a dimensional glue). Lay a few watch parts into the Diamond Glaze
(don't create air bubbles). Pour more Diamond Glaze on top.
Support the cover so that it's flat and allow to dry overnight. The
Diamond Glaze goes clear as it dries and it looks like the watch
parts are floating in water. Hmmmmm, this would work in
an indentation carved into wood too . . . |
Quartz
Clock
Embed a working clock into a box lid or even a book cover. The clock
looks fantastic in the cover or pages of an altered book. It has a pretty
gold bezel around it so that it hides the edges of the hole you cut. They're
plastic but made really well and are very good looking.
1-7/16" in
diameter. Fits securely in a 1-5/16" hole.$9.50
