Description:
In this amazing class you will advance your beginning to intermediate fabrication
skills to the next level. In 5 days you will learn everything necessary to plan and complete
your own bracelet similar to those pictured here.
Learn and practice at
least 3 different types of 'silver soldering' plus basic fabrication
techniques. By the end of the week, you should have a completed
bracelet and the skills to incorporate the techniques you've learned into all
your
metalsmithing projects. Everyone's bracelet will be different and
unique.
You will learn how to work with sterling silver
and base metals to achieve some of the following techniques and highlights:

Filing/Sanding/Finishing

Riveting/Miniature Hardware
(Cold Connections)

Fusing

Dapping/Light Forming

Sweat Soldering
-
Pick Soldering

Bezel-Setting a Cabochon

Soldering Jump Rings

Safety

Torches (oxy/propane and
air/acetylene)

Class will also include general
discussion of etching, tools, patinas, polishing, roll printing, reticulating silver and so much more
(and some of this will no doubt work its way into practice during the class
- depending on the group).
