Book Kits / The Scribe Leather Journal Kit

This sample journal has a debossed
oak leaf and acorn pattern on the cover.

  • Leather (grooved and edged)
  • Leather Spine
  • Waxed Linen
  • Buffing Canvas
  • Hole Punching Jig
  • 70 lb. Text Paper
  • Clear Instructions
  • Color Coordinated Snap

Other Design Possibilities:

Be sure to check out the Scribe Leather Journals in  our Idea Center.

Stylistically this beautiful journal is equally at home in the boardroom or a park. The simple style, clean lines and a wide range of color choices make this book perfect for personalizing. It's one of our easiest kits to sew yet has a wide range of possibilities for embellishing.

We've done the hard work for you. The stiff, durable leather is hand-beveled on the edges for a softer, more finished look and the spine has been hand-grooved so that the book will close nicely. We've hand-dyed the leather inside and out (except 'natural' which comes un-dyed) and furnish a color coordinated snap set.

Take a look in our Idea Center to see what others have done with this kit.

Difficulty rating: 5
Finished Journal size: 6 3/4" X 9"

This book is an example of what can be done with our Scribe Leather Journal kit. The leather used here is our Worn Saddle Brown which is 'distressed' and beautiful. Click here to find out how to antique our silver plated corners.

This kit comes in your choice of 5 beautiful colors. The natural is light so that you can paint or stamp with darker colors.
