Lead and Zinc Saw
This great little tool is surprisingly efficient! I like mine better than the expensive saws you can buy that are made specifically for cutting lead came and zinc. Quick and easy to use. Cut infinite angles from 0-45°, 110V AC, 60Hz, 90W, .9AMPS, 7800 Max RPMs, 3/4" Depth. Includes 1 blade. Either bolt or clamp to table (clamp included). Safety switch. It's also handy for cutting wooden dowels.

Wire and Lead Bender
Use this handy wire bender for bending wire that's a little too tough to bend by hand. You can either screw or clamp it to a bench or table. It's great for bending lead came (stained glass) or copper grounding wire (metalsmithing).

Rubber/Plastic Mallet
This is the ideal hammer for working with stained glass panels made with zinc and lead came. It's light enough for easy handling, gentle enough to tap your glass into place without breaking it and it's sturdy enough to get the job done. It's the one we use here at the Volcano Arts Studio. The price is right too! 9-1/2" long. Heads are replaceable, though we do not stock replacements.

$9.00

Pliers
Plastic Running Pliers
Running Pliers make the job of breaking scored glass so easy! They have a little hump in the center which you line up with your score line on the glass and then gently squeeze the pliers. Voila! The glass will break cleanly and your hands are safe.

$6.00

Diamond Drill Bits
2mm Diamond Twist Drills
These twist drills are coated in diamonds for drilling glass, ceramic, rocks, etc.

$8.00 ea.

Blunt Tip Diamond Coated Glass Drill Bit (GlaStar)
You can't beat a diamond coated drill bit for drilling glass, rocks or ceramics. Different than our Diamond Core Drill Bits, these can be used in any hand-held rotary tool. High quality will last for a long time.
  • For use in any portable drill or rotary tool (Dremel and flex shaft OK)
  • Use water as a coolant
  • Simple to use (directions on package)

$24.00 (ea.)

Note how far up the shaft the diamonds go.

What's the difference between our Diamond Core and Blunt Tip Diamond Drill Bits?
  • Blunt Tip can be used in hand-held rotary tool, Core must be used in a drill press *
  • Holes are easier to get round and accurate when drilled in drill press (core)
  • Drilling is faster on drill press (core)
  • Core bits grind away a cylinder of glass, while Blunt Tip bits grind away glass until the hole is formed
  • Both types are coated with genuine diamonds
  • Be sure to read Christine Cox's article Bottles and Windows Quake in My Presence: How to Drill Glass

They come 2 in a package

1/4" Shank
1/8" Hole

Diamond Core Drill Bits (1/8") (Aanraku)
If you are making projects that require holes in glass, rocks or ceramic, you'll need our 1/8" Diamond Core Drill Bits. They work marvelously with our Glass Bevels or with stained glass. Use water as a coolant.
For use in a drill press.*

A great value!
$15.00 (2)

Close-up of the diamond-encrusted business end of the drill bit

* (will not work with a Dremel or flex shaft tool because the shaft is too big to fit)

Glass Cutter Oil
Until recently, I'd been using kerosene in my glass cutter. The problem was that it was giving me a huge headache! A much better alternative is non-toxic Glass Cutter Oil. It cleans up easily with dishwashing soap or alcohol and is virtually odor free. Your head, your pets and your children will thank you for using it. 8 oz.
