Lorna Lawson 3/07
Textures and Patinas
Sample Book

Closed and Tied

Lorna made this book in a class with Christine Cox. She loves working on complex, 3-D projects and this "sampler" book is a perfect example. It's made from brass and copper. The book has metal "pages" interspersed with paper pages which have been cleverly cut to match the metal. The book is made so that there isn't a set cover. The pages can be rotated around to the back and any of the metal "pages" can serve as a cover for the book.

A study in form, textures and patinas,
this book is very interesting to explore
